Israel’s department store chain Zares has announced that it will open its first dedicated department store in the country.
The store will open in Haifa, the country’s third largest city, in 2019.
The opening of the department store will mark the first in Israel and Zares’ move is the culmination of years of work by the company to expand its department store footprint.
Zares launched its first department store at the beginning of 2019, but the store only became available in December 2020.
Since then, it has opened two more department stores: one in the northern city of Tel Aviv and one in Jerusalem.
The department store has been built on Zares concept of “designer” stores, in which Zares employs designers, photographers, artists and others to create products and services that will be sold in the stores.
Zare launched its flagship store, the flagship store in Tel Aviv in May 2020, and plans to open three more department store outlets by the end of 2019.
At the moment, the company has stores in Haaretz, Ramat Gan, Kiryat Malachi and Eilat.
The company is also in the process of opening two more departments in Tel Haifa and Jerusalem.
Zaris first department stores are open in Israel’s capital Tel Aviv, Haifa in the north, and Kiryati in the south.
Zares stores in the other major cities in Israel have been operating under the name of Zares Retail.
