The government is looking to reduce the number of people in hospital and out of hospital by as much as 75 per cent.
The new coronaweb vaccine, due to be rolled out in late 2018, is designed to target those most likely to die in a vaccine-preventable scenario.
The government says it has already seen a 25 per cent reduction in the number and severity of severe acute respiratory infections (SARS-CoV-2) in those in hospital.
The number of deaths has also fallen by about 25 per per cent over the past two years.
While the government is aiming to reduce COVID-19 deaths by 25 per the past 12 months, it also says it will continue to invest in the new vaccines, including one that is expected to save lives and reduce the risk of death and disability.
The vaccine is the third phase of the $1.4 billion phase three development, which will include testing and manufacturing.
The first two phases of the coronavir vaccine were developed to address the current pandemic.
Those tests and manufacturing efforts were aimed at making the vaccine as safe as possible.
The next phase will include more testing and production of the vaccine, according to the Department of Health.
“We’re seeing a lot of optimism and optimism around this vaccine, but there’s still a lot to do,” Dr. Scott Brathwaite, a public health researcher with the University of Alberta, said.
“There’s still going to be a lot more work to do in terms of safety.”
A few of the measures announced Thursday include a $10-a-day, $1,000 per patient cap, which would limit how many people could be exposed to the vaccine at one time.
It would also include the $3,000 cap on the number allowed in a family, and a $4,000 limit on how many individuals could be vaccinated at one visit.
The cap would apply to all vaccines, whether they are new or existing, and will apply to people who had no contact with someone who had received the vaccine before or had a COVID case.
Additionally, there will be limits on how much the government can spend on health-care-related expenses and how long it can stay in place.
There are also restrictions on the types of vaccines the government will allow to be made and distributed.
The limits include a cap of one vaccine per person per day and a cap on how often vaccines are given, which limits how much people can buy.
Some of the other measures include: A $5,000-per-visit cap on people who are eligible for the new health-insurance program.
A cap on family visits.
More than $1 billion in spending on research and development of vaccines.
An $800-million reduction in spending over the next two years for the coronawealth program.
The remaining money will be used for the public-private partnerships that are the backbone of the program.
